Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance/Staff Accountant Intern to join our accounting team. This position offers hands-on experience with core accounting functions and exposure to a fast-paced, aviation-focused finance department. You'll assist in financial reporting, account reconciliation, invoicing, and various operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.

  • Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Help with accounts payable and receivable processing.

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and spreadsheets.

  • Conduct data entry and ensure accuracy in financial documentation.

  • Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting as needed.

  • Support ad hoc financial projects and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
