Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance/Staff Accountant Intern to join our accounting team. This position offers hands-on experience with core accounting functions and exposure to a fast-paced, aviation-focused finance department. You'll assist in financial reporting, account reconciliation, invoicing, and various operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.
Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Help with accounts payable and receivable processing.
Prepare and analyze financial reports and spreadsheets.
Conduct data entry and ensure accuracy in financial documentation.
Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting as needed.
Support ad hoc financial projects and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
